This document outlines the terms and conditions of A) Use of the website of CityScoop Travel. B) Your terms and conditions of booking and services through CityScoop Travel. C) All communications between you and CityScoop Travel.

The website of CityScoop Travel is owned and operated by members of CityScoop Travel ("Us", "We", "Our") officially registered at Companies House as CityScoop Travel Ltd (company number 15515547) based in WA15 7DB Timperley, Altrincham in the United Kingdom. CityScoop Travel Ltd trade as CityScoop and/or CityScoop Travel.

CityScoop Travel is registered under the Aviation Travel Organisers License authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority. [license number to be confirmed once application submitted]

CityScoop Travel Ltd is a travel company which operates on the basis of making travel simple for all. The services provided by us enable consumers (you) to put together customised itineraries and trips for you or a group of up to six people (your group) to cities across Europe (outside of the UK). By paying for these services, you confirm that you have permission on behalf of your group to book your trip and also confirm that you have read, understand and will abide by our terms and conditions (T&Cs). You also confirm that all parties in your group have read, understand and will abide by the T&Cs set out in this document. Please therefore ensure that all party members have read the T&Cs and accept them prior to booking and making a payment.

Your Trip with CityScoop

When booking a trip with CityScoop you will find yourself on one of three paths; a basic booking package marketed as 'BudgetScoop' where flights, accommodation and an airport transfer will be organised on dates of your picking to a destination of your choosing; our premium package marketed as 'PremiumScoop' where flights, accommodation, airport transfer and a customised itinerary personalised to your tastes from information you have given us will be organised on your choosen dates dates to a destination confirmed by you; our third service, marketed as 'MysteryScoop', entailing flights, accommodation, airport transfer and a personalised itinerary (if selected) to one of three destinations proposed on the back of the customer's survey responses. The final destination will then be confirmed by you on dates chosen by you. All trips will be proposed to you over email and/or WhatsApp containing details of the trip and location we are proposing. Once you have booked and paid for the proposed trip, you have confirmed that the details proposed to you are of your acceptance, and CityScoop can not be held liable for any discrepancies in these proposed details once a payment has been made. All details will be again presented at the point of payment. It is your responsibility to ensure these details are correct when booking your chosen trip.

Pricing and Payment

1. Pricing

When you follow our survey on the CityScoop website you will be responded to via email and/or WhatsApp with a trip proposal for the service you have selected, deduced by your answers. With said proposal, you will be provided with a pricing quote for the total costing of the service - this quote will include all costs for your trip including, but not limited to, flights, accommodation, airport transfer, and any activities booked for your trip. It is important to note that CityScoop reserve the right to change your overall cost at the point of payment if deemed necessary, given that we operate with live flight prices which may fluctuate depending on many variables. This may also be the case with accommodation as we will be working with third-party suppliers to book and arrange your travel. Please note that we guarantee that we will do our best, though it is not always possible to arrange pre-paid accommodation (should this be the case, the total amount to be paid on arrival will be refunded back onto the payment card at least two weeks ahead of travel, unless booked less than two weeks in advance).

2. Payment

At the point of payment, you will be required to pay the full amount on our website using our Stripe payment service. This can be paid using a debit or credit card. Once payment has been accepted, you will be greeted with a confirmation message on screen to validate your payment and the details of your upcoming trip. Prior to the point of payment, you will be provided with a date after which your quote will no longer be valid. Should the current date exceed the cut-off date provided before you attempt to make a payment, your trip proposal will unfortunately be voided. Please note that any payments made to CityScoop will only cover details as listed at your point of payment, for example; flights, accommodation, airport transfer and any potential excursions agreed on prior to payment. CityScoop can not be held liable for additional and discretionary expenses such as local tax, food, drink, entertainment, etc.

Confirmation

When arranging your city break with CityScoop Travel, we will utilise the information provided in your survey and the passenger details form, including any amendments agreed via email and/or WhatsApp. It is essential that all details you provide (including, but not limited to, passport numbers, full names, addresses and contact numbers/emails) are accurate. We will email you a proposed city break and confirmation of your passenger details form, which will include, among other information, the names of all people in your party. It is your responsibility to thoroughly check both documents upon receipt to ensure that the information is correct.

When completing the passenger details form, it is required you provide accurate passport details. If incorrect information is given, we may be unable to amend confirmed bookings, or you may incur additional charges for changes. You are also responsible for ensuring all passports for travellers in your group are valid for the duration of the trip. Upon return, all passports must have more than six months until expiration and be less than ten years old.

Your trip will not be considered booked until the passenger details form is correctly completed and the flights are purchased by us.

Upon confirmation and payment you will receive your 'eScoop' via email and/or WhatsApp. This eScoop will be your informative e-brochure to your chosen destination including your itinerary, any useful information regarding transport, bars and restaurants close to you, any excursions requested, and all of your booking informaiton. Your boarding passes, excursion confirmations and hotel/apartment reservations will also be included in this eScoop or uploaded to your updated eScoop as you get closer to the time of departure. Your passenger details form will also include address details in the event that we need to send out any physical copies of confirmaitons to you.

Refunds

You have the right to request a refund at any point throughout the booking process, although this decision is ultimately at the discretion of CityScoop Travel. Should we deem a refund plausable we will aim to refund you without delay and work to a deadline of 14 working days. Please note that refunds may not be granted for any part of the trip booked that you or your party choose to not partake in, and we also cannot provide refunds for no shows. Following return from your trip, you will have 28 days to apply for a refund due to operational faults of any third party suppliers; including, but not limited to, hotels and excursions. Any of these requests must be put in writing to enquiries@cityscoop.co.uk; anything not submitted in this format, or a request after the 28-day period, will not be considered or granted.

ATOL

CityScoop Travel is a ATOL licensed company issued by the Civil Aviation Authority [License number entered here]

When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive package from us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. Here we list what exactly is financially protected, where you can retrieve information on what this means for you, and who to contact if things go wrong.

We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.

Amendments and Cancellations

If at any point after your purchase you wish to make any changes to your booking or cancellations you must contact us at enquiries@cityscoop.co.uk or on [07---------] on WhatsApp with the details or your intended changes. Please note that we will do everything we can to make this amendment for you, however third-party suppliers may not allow this and it may not always be possible to make changes or cancellations once your booking has been confirmed. Should we be able to make the required changes, there may be a administration fee payable by you for said changes, and confirmation will be sent to you via email and/or WhatsApp once the change(s) have been made. We ask that, to avoid any unnecessary changes, at the point of payment and filling in your passenger details form, you check that all details entered are correct. If for any reason you can not depart from the selected airport or take a planned bus/train please contact us immediately to discuss next steps as it may not be possible to re-arrange flights and/or accommodation once booked and confirmed.

Amendments and Cancellations made by us

Although unlikely, there are scenarios when adjustments or, in severe cases, cancellations, will be made by us to your trip. CityScoop Travel reserves the right to adjust or cancel your trip under scenarios outlined below, alongside your rights in the case of these changes.

1. Amendments made by us

CityScoop Travel reserve the right to amend trips booked by you with us. Occasionally when building your city break it may be necessary to make changes to your trip; these could fall into either minor amendments or major amendments. An example of a small amendment would be changing your inbound or outbound flight times by less than 12 hours, changes to the aircraft type, or changing your hotel/apartment to another in a similar area and of a similar standard.

Unfortunately we may be required to make a major change to your journey which could include one or more of: Changes to your inbound or outbound flight by more than 12 hours or a change of your departure airport, changing the area of your apartment or hotel to a different area and/or different standard, or removing one or more excursions from your custom itinerary.

2. Cancellations made by us

On the occasion we deem it necessary to cancel part or all of your booking, CityScoop will contact you directly via email and/or WhatsApp to communicate this decision along with the reasoning for doing so. We will also offer you a full refund or alternative arrangements for your trip. If we offer you an alternative to your booking more than 28 days prior to travelling, you will have 3 working days to respond. Should your booking be between 14 and 27 days away, you will have 2 working days to respond, and should your booking be less than 14 days away, you will have 1 working day to respond. Should you fail to respond to us within that timeframe that will be deemed as acceptance of the proposed changes to your booking. The only instance where a full refund or alternative arrangements will not be offered on the occasion of a cancellation is in case of force majeure.

Note - Force majeure refers to unforseen circumstances or variables beyond our control; these can refer to one or more of: war, natural disaster, riots, epidemic or pandemic, volcanic eruptions, fires, national emergency. In such instances we will not be obliged to refund or compensate travellers

Your Commitments

At CityScoop we believe in making the world a smaller place for everyone and, because of this, we will ensure you have everything you need to make memories that will last a lifetime and open the door on travel for you and those around you. That being said, we cannot control everything, and there are some things that will be down to you.

Missed Travel

You will be told what time your flight departs and what time to arrive at the airport ahead of departure, and it is the sole responsability of you and/or your party to arrive in plenty of time. Should you miss your flight we can not be held accountable. This also applies for train and/or bus travel. Should this occur due to circumstances outside of your control, you must immediately contact us via email and/or WhatsApp in order for us to assist you with next steps.

Travel Eligibility/Visas

We will ask you at the start of your survey whether you have a valid passport for European travel and will also provide a passenger details form post-payment in order to start booking your customised city break. We will book your flights, accommodation, transport and excursions using the information that you provide, so it is essential that you provide us with the latest information. Should the information provided be incorrect at any stage, we cannot be held accountable for cancelled travel arrangements. It is also your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport for European travel and/or a valid visa. If CityScoop Travel suspect you may require a visa in order to travel we will contact you about this and assist you with the process as much as reasonably possible, though please note that this is ultimately your responsibility, and we cannot be held accountable if at any point travel fails as a result of an invalid passport and/or insufficient visa documentation.

Luggage

After the point of purchase, you will fill in a passenger details form. At this stage, you will also have the opportunity to add any extras to your flights, such as extra legroom, reserved seating or additional luggage. Any of these extras added will be payable by you and will not be considered confirmed until payment has been received. Once payment has been received, your eScoop will be updated with the details of your flight extras.

You will be detailed any additional luggage you choose to purchase, including information on suitcase/bag dimensions and maximum weight. It will be you and your party's responsibility to ensure these restrictions are adhered to, and we cannot be held liable for any additional charges that may be incurred as a result of failure to comply with these regulations. Airlines are classified as third-party suppliers and therefore the terms and conditions of selected airlines must be adhered to; any travel restrictions or fees imposed as a result of failure to comply with these terms is not the liability of CityScoop Travel.

Suppliers Terms and Conditions

In order to plan and build your trp, CityScoop Travel work with third-party suppliers, including, but not limited to, hotels, airlines and event specialists. These third-party suppliers are not owned by or operated by CityScoop Travel and will hold their own independent terms and conditions.

Accommodation

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and members of your party conduct themselves appropriately when staying in the accommodation provided on your city break. Should you not behave adequately, the hotel or apartment supplier reserve the right to terminate your stay with them, for which CityScoop cannot be held accountable. It is also you and your party's responsibility to treat the space with respect, and any damage caused during your stay will be payable by you and/or your party. Some accommodation suppliers may require a deposit ahead of your stay in case of damages to the property, which will be payable by you. Should this be the case, CityScoop will notify you as soon as possible ahead of travel.

Excursions

It is also your responsibility to conduct yourself properly when taking part in any activities or excursions supplied by third-party suppliers. All health and safety regulations must be adhered to and said suppliers reserve the right to stop you or any member of your party from partaking in the excursion if you fail to comply with their terms and conditions. You reserve the right to ask any third-party suppliers to adjust the itinerary for your excursions, but they are not obliged to comply with your request and, should they choose to comply, any additional costs will be payable by yourself.

Personal Safety/Risk

When you travel on a city break provided by CityScoop Travel, you accept that there are risks to travelling outside of the UK and any injuries obtained while away are not the fault of CityScoop Travel. These risks include, but are not limited to, theft while commuting through the city either by foot or public transport, and any injuries that may occur while taking part in an excursion. It is also your responsibility to acknowledge the laws of foreign countries that you may travel to. Any consequences as a result of failure to comply with these laws are not the responsibility of CityScoop Travel.

Insurance

CityScoop Travel strongly advise obtaining travel insurance prior to travelling outside of the UK to cover yourself and any members of your party. Should any additional costs be incurred as a result of not having travel insurance, it is not the responsibility of CityScoop Travel. It is also noted that any additional costs paid in relation to insurance including, but not limited to, excess insurance payments, are not the responsibility of CityScoop.

Liability

Your Conduct and Responsibility

At CityScoop Travel, we are committed to providing our clients with enjoyable and memorable travel experiences. However, it is essential for all travellers and their parties to adhere to certain conduct guidelines. All travellers must conduct themselves appropriately and respect local customs, laws, and regulations during their trip. Unruly, disruptive, or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. CityScoop Travel accepts no responsibility for any issues arising from the traveller's behaviour. This includes, but is not limited to, missed travel arrangements (e.g., flights, trains, or buses), missed excursions or tours, injuries, accidents, or health issues resulting from misconduct, and arrests or legal issues. In the event of any issues arising from the traveller's behaviour, CityScoop Travel will not be able to assist in resolving these matters. Travellers are solely responsible for dealing with the consequences of their actions.

Thirt-Party Suppliers

CityScoop Travel works diligently to coordinate and ensure a seamless travel experience. However, we rely on third-party suppliers for many aspects of our services. While we strive to select reputable third-party suppliers, CityScoop Travel cannot be held responsible for delayed or cancelled flights, excursions or tours that do not proceed as planned or are cancelled, and late or missed transfers causing subsequent delays or cancellations. In the event of disruptions caused by third-party suppliers, CityScoop Travel will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issues. However, ultimate responsibility lies with the third-party supplier, and we cannot be held liable for their actions or failures.

General Liability

CityScoop Travel shall not be held responsible for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, natural disasters, or pandemics. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CityScoop Travel's liability for any claims arising from our services shall be limited to the amount paid by the traveller for the relevant services.

By booking with CityScoop Travel, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your party understand and accept these conditions before embarking on your journey.

Leaving Early

As much as we'd love you to see out the duration of your city break and experience everything your destination has to offer, we accept there may be occasions when you may require to cut your trip short and leave us early. Should you wish to end your city break early we unfortunately will not be able to offer a refund and any extra costs imposed will be payable by you and/or your party. Dependent on the circumstances under which your city break is cut short, you may be able to claim any additional expenses through your insurance company (should you have travel insurance).

Complaints

We will strive to deliver the best service to you and the best experiences while on your CityScoop adventure; however, if you do have a complaint, we will be on hand to assist and do everything we can to make it right. Should you have a complaint when you are away, it is urged that you bring this up with the supplier at hand so they can work to rectify the situation for you. The longer you leave this, the less compensation you could be owed (if owed at all). CityScoop Media Use

CityScoop Travel reserves the right to all media, videos, photos and branding on this website and across our social media platforms. Anyone found to be distributing, modifying or transmitting any form of publication associated with CityScoop Travel unlawfully will be subject to legal action. Law and Jurisdiction

Our terms and conditions are written in accordance with UK-governed law. Should the unlikely scenario arise when a dispute involving CityScoop Travel or any of our third-party suppliers is escalated to a court of law, you should notify us of these circumstances right away in order for us to work with you to resolve the dispute(s) as soon as possible.

Disclaimer

CityScoop Travel reserve the right to cancel you or your parties booking at any time if you are found to be in violation of these terms and conditions. This decision is to be taken at the discretion of the company.
